Nestled away in true Suffolk countryside, steeped in history - the Mill Hotel in Sudbury has plenty to offer.

Sudbury is the home of the country's most famous portrait artist, Thomas Gainsborough. Within minutes walk of the hotel you will find yourself indulged in the painters, most valuable, precious work. Situated in between both Bury St Edmonds and Colchester - minutes drive either way - there is so much to do for everybody! Visiting Colchester Zoo and Newmarket Racecourse is often high on the agenda for our guests!

When it comes to our food - we prefer to go the extra mile. Head Chef, Terry Reynolds sources local produce wherever possible to ensure we feature the best of the area on our menu. The Riverside Restaurant offers both a sophisticated, pleasant dining experience where our carefully selected wine list offers both new and old world. Alternatively, take a more casual approach and dine in our Meadows Bar overlooking the wonderful meadows.

The Mill Hotel offers 62 well appointed bedrooms with many overlooking the meadows. All bedrooms have a wide-screen television, coffee and tea making facilities, ironing and dry cleaning facilities and fully equipped bathroom and amenities.

The Mill, situated 32 miles from Stansted Airport and a 10 minute walk from Sudbury Train Station and also offers complimentary wireless internet and we have our own hotel car park.

All of our public areas have been refurbished to the highest of standards. Our bedrooms are next on the list and will be refurbished over the next few months. During this time, please bare with us.
